About the Workplace

Every day, hundreds of cases and matters are decided in courts across Sweden. Our organization consists of employees with various competencies, each of whom is significant in upholding legal security and high quality at all levels.

The Administrative Court in Växjö has about 40 employees. The organization consists of judges, rapporteurs, and clerks, a case management function, and an administrative staff. In the judicial operations, the court is divided into two specialized units that handle, among other things, tax and public procurement cases as well as social insurance and other social matters. We continuously work on developing the organization to best support the employees. The Administrative Court is centrally located in Växjö and shares premises with the District Court. In less than a year, we will move to newly built premises. Växjö is a municipality in strong growth that has a university and very good public transport connections.

Job Responsibilities

As a summer clerk, you will practice applying your theoretical knowledge through qualified practical legal work. The tasks largely correspond to those performed by newly hired clerks at the Administrative Court. You will, among other things, conduct legal investigations and write draft judgments.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has studied at least six semesters in the law program and who, at the time of application, has completed at least the equivalent of 180 credits of the courses in the program. You should not have completed your education before August 2026. You are good at expressing yourself both in writing and orally. You are also responsible, committed, and meticulous, and have good analytical skills and sound judgment. You need to be able to organize and plan your work well.

The employment period is 6-8 weeks by agreement. Please specify in your cover letter how many weeks you can work.
